Get ready to Run for the Hills in the autumn beauty of Northern Illinois’ Moraine Hills State Park – a spectacular venue that will make your 2011 fall running season unforgettable. Moraine Hills State Park, 1510 N. River Road, McHenry, Illinois, located about 60 miles northwest of Chicago.

Registration opens at midnight, Monday, March 14, 2011 at signmeup.com. Registration is limited to 300 participants. Last year sold out earlier than expected, so please plan ahead!
-Both distances run entirely within the State Park on groomed asphalt and crushed limestone trails (no traffic!). Expect some rolling hills and beautiful scenery.
-Every runner receives a finisher medal, L/S cotton tee, and goodie bag.
-Awards for top three men and women overall in each distance.
-Place medals for 1st and 2nd place M/F age groupers (19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+).
-Five water/Gatorade stations for the 10K, seven for the Half Marathon, plus post-race nutrition and water for all runners.

PACKET PICK-UP:
Friday, October 21, 2011 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM at the Moraine Hills State Park Office.
RACE DAY PICK-UP BEGINS AT 7:15 AM at the Northern Woods race site shelter.
RACE DAY PARKING:
The park gates will open at 7:00 AM (NO EARLIER, PLEASE!). Please obey the park speed limit of 20 MPH. Most participants will find parking space near the race start/finish site at Northern Woods. A shuttle bus will run for those who must park farther away. NO PARKING IS ALLOWED ON THE MAIN PARK ROAD – VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED AND TICKETED.
