Run in the peaceful autumn beauty of Northern Illinois’ premier Moraine Hills State Park. The courses are set completely within the park on asphalt and crushed limestone trails (no traffic!). Expect rolling hills and spectacular scenery. This is a race you shouldn’t miss.

Registration is limited to 400 participants. Registration will close when that number is reached or at midnight Sunday, September 27, 2015. whichever comes first.
NEW: If space remains, in person registration 10 AM - 8 PM, Monday 9/28 - Friday 10/02 at Running Depot, 30-H Williams St., Crystal Lake, IL. (cash or check only please). Check this website to see if space remains after online registration closes.

Same day registration at the Moraine Hills State Park race site opens at 7:15 AM.
RACE START TIME
8:30 a.m.for both distances (wave start by PACE, faster runners first)
NOTE: Course support (water stations and course marshals) will end at 11:45 a.m. Runners still on the course after this time will be notified, and should they choose to finish, will be monitored by a race official and their finish will be timed.
All runners receive a finisher medal, a L/S tech shirt, post-race nutrition, and a great bag of goodies. Place medals and prizes go to the top three M/F winners in each distance. Medals also go to the top three M/F winners in each age group: 19 and under, 20 – 24, 25 – 29, 30 – 34, 35 – 39, 40 – 44, 45 – 49, 50 – 54, 55 – 59, 60 – 64, 65 – 69, 70 - 74, 75 - 79, 80+.
Water and Gatorade stations are at approximately every 2 miles and the finish.
Sponsored by the Friends of Moraine Hills State Park, all proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the education programs and visitor services at Moraine Hills State Park. The Friends have also set up an annual scholarship program for students of environmental studies.

RACE DAY PICK-UP
Begins at 7:15 AM at the Northern Woods race site shelter.
RACE DAY PARKING:
The park gates will open at 7:00 AM (NO EARLIER, PLEASE!). Please obey the park speed limit of 20 MPH. Most participants will find parking space near the race start/finish site at Northern Woods. A shuttle bus will run for those who must park farther away.
NO PARKING IS ALLOWED ON THE MAIN PARK ROAD – VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED AND TICKETED.
