Run in the peaceful autumn beauty of Northern Illinois’ premier Moraine Hills State Park. The courses are set completely within the park on asphalt and crushed limestone trails (no traffic!). Expect rolling hills and spectacular scenery. The newly configured Half Marathon course was a HUGE hit with our 2012 runners. This is one you shouldn’t miss.

Registration is limited to 400 participants. Registration will close when that number is reached or at midnight Sunday, September 29, 2013. whichever comes first. Due to the race size limitation, we cannot guarantee that same day registration will be available. Note: Checks or cash only on race day. Please check this website before coming out to the park on race day.
All runners receive a finisher medal, a L/S tech shirt, post-race nutrition, and a great bag of goodies. Place medals and prizes go to the top three M/F winners in each distance. Medals also go to the top three M/F winners in each age group: 19 and under, 20 – 24, 25 – 29, 30 – 34, 35 – 39, 40 – 44, 45 – 49, 50 – 54, 55 – 59, 60 – 64, 65 – 69, 70 +.
Water and Gatorade stations are at approximately every 2 miles and the finish.
Sponsored by the Friends of Moraine Hills State Park, all proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the education programs and visitor services at Moraine Hills State Park. The Friends have also set up an annual scholarship program for students of environmental sciences.

RACE DAY PICK-UP
Begins at 7:15 AM at the Northern Woods race site shelter.
RACE DAY PARKING:
The park gates will open at 7:00 AM (NO EARLIER, PLEASE!). Please obey the park speed limit of 20 MPH. Most participants will find parking space near the race start/finish site at Northern Woods. A shuttle bus will run for those who must park farther away.
NO PARKING IS ALLOWED ON THE MAIN PARK ROAD – VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED AND TICKETED.
