Run in the peaceful autumn beauty of Northern Illinois’ premier Moraine Hills State Park. The courses are set completely within the park on asphalt and crushed limestone trails (no traffic!). Expect rolling hills and spectacular scenery. This is a race you shouldn’t miss.

Registration is limited to only 400 participants. Registration will close when that number is reached or at midnight Sunday, October 1, 2017. whichever comes first.
NEW: If space remains, in-person registration 10 AM - 8 PM, Monday10/02- Friday 10/06 at Running Depot, 30-H Williams St., Crystal Lake, IL. (Registration Fee: $50 for the half-marathon, $40 for the 10k, cash or check only please). Check this website to see if space remains after online registration closes.
RACE START TIME
8:30 a.m.for both distances (the race will be starting in a wave format)
NOTE: Course support (water stations and course marshals) will end at 11:45 a.m. Runners still on the course after this time will be notified.
All runners receive a finisher medal, Moraine Hills Run for the Hills shirt, and post-race nutrition. Place medals and prizes go to the top three M/F winners in each distance. Medals also go to the top three M/F winners in each age group: 19 and under, 20 – 24, 25 – 29, 30 – 34, 35 – 39, 40 – 44, 45 – 49, 50 – 54, 55 – 59, 60+.
Water and Gatorade stations are at approximately every 2 miles and the finish.
Sponsored by the Friends of Moraine Hills State Park, all proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the education programs and visitor services at Moraine Hills State Park. The Friends have also set up an annual scholarship program for students of environmental studies.
